Hey guys, throughout the years I've noticed some unusual but effective treestands at various hunting clubs. So I made a video about some of the funny ones I have used lol. What do yall think?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9awNx62979U What are some of the crazy stands yall have built for hunting?

pretty good bud. adding a few pointers i.e always connect the safety harness to the tree and yourself....would help a few guys out...ill be switching one of mine soon.

20 years ago I had a lease near Graham. There was a huge old oak overlooking a creek bottom that I planned on hanging a tree stand. Once I climbed up it I found a big pocket in the center of the tree and had an epiphany. I lugged a piece of pipe and a couple bags of quickcrete up the tree and created a pedestal base, then bought a bass boat swivel seat, and presto... one comfy tree stand built. Added screw in steps up the front and I was hunting. At the end of the season, just pulled out the seat and put it in storage.

I like that bass boat seat! How high was that in the tree? Was about 20 feet high. Great view, but in hindsight I'd look to add a safety strap or a place to hook a safety harness if I still had this lease.

Yeah maybe a safety harness would be good, and a shooting rail!
