I have taken a lot of Axis on our ranch in Brady but never had the opportunity at one in full velvet. These are free ranging low fence Axis. I cant wait until I get him back from the taxidermist.

Taxidermist will have it ready the week after Christmas. I did learn a lot about taking care of one in full velvet. I had to get it to a freezer immediately, they treat the velvet with something and then freeze dry if for 2 to 3 weeks to preserve it. Im getting a half sneak looking right. I think it's going to look awesome.

Interesting. Sure would be neat to live in a area where they were free range/
