Bought a new barrel for my first rifle rebuild. Was going to put a Gen I Micro Bastard muzzle brake on barrel. The new barrel has a bead blasted blued finish. This break only comes in stainless steel finish. I want the brake to match the barrel but want to avoid the additional cost to get this brake refinished to match. Do people put brakes on their barrels that do not match? Does anyone sell brakes that are prefinished to match my barrel? Any help, recommendations, direction or advice will be greatyl appreciated.

Can of krylon in a close color will probably be good enough. That's what I would do.

Paint the brake (not break!) to match, or bead blast the barrel to match the brake. I have 2 rifles that the muzzle brake does not match. It's fine with me.

Stainless over blue sounds like a nice match, personally. Post a pic!

Thanks for the advice and spelling lesson. What kind of paint would you use? Would a spray paint like krylon adhere to ss? Does anyone sell a blued brake?
