Congrats I watched this post all day and hoped for this ending. I commend you for taking the extra challange of doing it with a bow. I also commend the whole gang for there support and all those who helped you. What a great group of guys. With a 140 post if each poster would pitch in 10$ that would cover your mount and cost of tracking dogs, with a nice tip for trackers who made this happen. I will challenge everyone to match my 10$ who is in?

I'll post measurements for y'all when I get back to house. 18 inch spread 22.5 and 23 inch beams. 11 inch 2s. First two mass measurements on each side are 6.5 and 6.

What a deer and way to stick with it to find him. Can you give us some details on the placement of the shot? Caliber? Bullet? I think it would do everyone good to understand just how tough a deer can be and what a fatal shoot looks like, even if it did not put the animal down "right there." And congrats....

The deer was shot with a 2 blade rage hypodermic. I shot too low on shoulder and basically chopped this leg almost off. The only reason he died is because every time we bumped him he would blead really good when he ran. I made a terrible awful shot but it is what it is. I just tried to do everything I could to make it right after.

Saw the title of post and thought "oh no, not again" then realized it was last year's!!! Congrats on a dang fine buck. Great mount. Who did the taxidermy work?
