Want to get a mount for my go pro to use on my bow. Does anyone do that? If so what type of mount do you use and how does it mount on your bow?

Too much weight for me to put on my bow. I would try to find somewhere beside my hunting spot to put it.

Honestly the video I've seen from those mounted on bows was so unstable it was unsettling to try to watch. I would try a different method.

I've done it bow fishing! And it sucked for others to view! Your best bet is to get a head strap mount so it videos what your looking at! Rather than having to have your bow right side up at all times!!!!

I had one mounted on my bow for a little while last year filming for a TV show. They do add weight and they also change the balance. Also watch out for flashing lights, this one had one and it was annoying in low light. I agree with previous post to try to get a head mount or look for other options. This one was mounted at the top of my riser.

I put a Spypoint Xcel HD2 on my bow a couple weeks ago. It replaced my stabilizer and I actually shoot better with the camera on it, it seems I had too much weight on end of stab. The videos I have made are not bad at all and I think in reality the videos are for me to enjoy.

I have the hero three black attached to my stabilizer halfway ou it gave my bow good balance. Make sure you turn the lights and sound off. And if you're shooting out of the blind make sure you have the spot meter on. Also I have mine set to a narrow perspective on 1080p. Just put some on the big screen last week looked great. I sit on two boards in the fork of a live oak and don't have a bow hook so didn't change anything holding my bow as it was already pointed at the deer to begin with. The fact my deer come up hill to me can't move much at all till they get to the feeder then I'm covered. Also have great video of it mounted to the shoot gun durring dove season. It didn't effect my bow shot at all but swinging the shot gun took a bit. Last thing set it to one button function so you can keep it off and soon as you see your target hit the button it comes on and starts filming in your setting.

Haven't tried it with a gopro, but I had a Kodak playsport on mine last year. I found that it is difficult to capture the kill shot on video and it wasn't worth the added weight on the bow. This was the best video I got with mine.

Killshot is tough to get and it is heavy for sure. Id get a mount for a branch or limb.. I have been just using my camera with a tripod or strapping it to a branch.. Cant get the walking around shots and what not though. Got a friend using the go pro but not sure what mount.
