Just wondering if you can use slugs in a Yildiz 410? I am not sure of the differences but I keep reading rifled on the ammo and want to be sure it is safe to use.

I do not know the yildiz per say but i believe it is a smoothbore .410 and you should be able to shoot foster type slugs. You do not want to shoot sabot type slugs in a smoothbore. the fosters have rifling on them and are good up to about 75 yards or so. Hope that helps.

you can shoot rifled slugs thru any shotgun barrel. I think it actually tells you on the slugs that rifled slugs will shoot best thru either a mod choke or a rifled choke tube. but Im relatively certain that rifled slugs can be fired thru any smoothbore of matching caliber.
In the back of my mind I'm thinking you're not supposed to shoot them thru a full choke....I don't know though if that's an absolute no-no or if its just not ideal for performance.
I have fired many rifled slugs thru a 12ga mod choke barrel. at short distance....just point and shoot...aim down the barrel. works better than you'd imagine.
