Hurried home from lease in Childress today to get home in time to take my wife hunting. There is this old 8 point with awesome brow tines that I have been trying to get her on but haven't had much luck. I got home and took her to the stand there was already one small buck at feeder. We got settled and feeder went off and we sat there for awhile and I was starting to have my doubts. We saw a deer coming our way but couldn't tell what he was. When he stepped out I think my jaw hit the floor and I looked at my wife and told her get the gun. We watched him for a while before we could get a shot. Finally he stepped and she dropped him in his tracks. The hugs started and then pics. Me and my wife have been together over 17yrs and finally got her to start hunting with me a few years ago and this is her second deer to shoot and wow what a deer. She's a trooper she was freezing but still made a good shot. Yes her buck is bigger than mine but I couldn't be happier.
