Been a long time since I have made it back in here. I have been hunting pretty hard trying to figure things out, but have absolutely nothing to show for it since I shot my first doe. I have been walking Round trying to find new stuff but they are just non-existent. Any guesses?

Good question and I'm sad to say I don't have an answer just a similar problem. I was seeing 6 does and 3 bucks on a regular basis at my feeder. Last week the land owner shot the only legal buck in that group of 9 deer. Actually it's the only k egal deer period since I hunt a buck only county. Ever since then all I have seen is a nubn buck that I have nick named nubby. Nubby is a loner and wasn't there the day the 8pt got shot. Really frustrating and dissapointing.

From what the guy's have been saying in many threads, the deer are not just running to feeders right now, same on my small place, it happens when everything falls in line with preferred growth conditions I get a few hitting the corn on their schedule, but not like normal. After this cold spell takes care of some growth, feeders should pickup.
OP, I would limit my "expeditions" on my property right now if it where me, sit when the bucks are moving, move when they are sitting kind of thing. Right now they are covering allot of real-estate looking for the "womens", so I'd find a known travel route and plant my self in a chair. Sit all day if you can.

Our deer seem to have started moving a little the last part of last week. All the excitement of opening weekend had them hanging out in the thick cedars only moving at night.

Went from seeing 20 deer a day/sit but 4 deer seen this entire weekend... 3 at one time!! Rut and lockdown period has hit. Only does seen were so skittish it wasn't funny!!! Bucks were young, dumb, and full of ---!!! Going to keep pouring the corn and feed to them and they will come around.... I hope!!
