How many people went to the Grand Opening of Gander Mtn in Lake Worth last weekend?, took my son early Sat Sunday so he could get gift cards..
Its nice being close to Azle but still pricy .IMO. I would have never new they match prices via picture taken at Cabelas or Walmart etc... Till my buddy who works in Fire Arms told me..
The line for .22 was sold out in 25 sec . Sunday
My son asked the Pro Guest lots of Questions and learned a lot .

I went on opening week end. I have to say when I heard they were building in Lake Worth I got excited to have something that close. I also live in Azle. After going and seeing the selection available, I have to say I was truly disappointed. They are pricey and selection was not all that that good IMO unless you're looking for a firearm or clothing. I realize they are not a Cabelas but was just hoping they would have a better selection.

I went and I would rather drive another 5minutes and be at academy. I saw their black friday ad and it looked like academy's everyday price. It looks pretty big from the outside but inside its about the size of academy. I, like you was very excited to have something close by but I was very dissapointed.

I haven't even bothered, for most any item you want, it will be cheaper online than GM and usually Cabelas, BPS and Academy, if you don't let yourself get caught in " I need it now" situation.
I will go to those stores when I want to personally see an item, or look in the bargain bins. They will price match, but seems retailers are refining what they will "price match" and sometimes running around getting local walk-in prices ends up costing more than just ordering online and being done with it.

I don't shop Gander or Cabelas anymore, if they don't seem interested in opening any stores in West Texas, so I will take my business else where.
