Anyone used this scope? More specifically the FireDot SPR reticle?

I have the vxr with fire dots, great in low light conditions. I don't know the difference in the two scopes. Sold my 1.25x4, and run a 2x7 on my 6.8. At night just point and shoot

I believe the main difference in mark ar and vxr is the vxr has the technology to turn the reticle on when you raise the scope. probably slightly better glass if I had to guess. I have ordered the mark ar and now i'm just waiting for it to come off of backorder.

VXR has a 30mm tube and red dot, Mark AR 1" tube and green dot. My Mark AR turns off when its not in motion for so many minutes. I think the VXR might be better quality. I have never looked at them side by side though./

Is this what your turrets look like? What are your thoughts on them and their usability?

I set them for 2" at 100 yards, and never touched them again. I bought the scope with the idea I might learn to use them, but I haven't needed to yet.

I found the Mark AR a much more compact package at 1" vs the 30mm. Much bigger difference than I expected. I've been very happy with the 1-4x Mark AR firedot SPR.

Got it mounted up. Can't wait to get it sighted in. I really like the glass and the reticle. I don't mind the green dot but I wish you could make it red.

Any reviews yet?
I was thinking of getting the non-illuminated version which is about $300 vs the $450 for the illuminated version. Might just have to save up that money to get the illuminated or watch for a used one.

I shot it quite a bit the other night. I was very impressed with the scope. Especially the lighted reticle. Several guys I work with have illuminated reticles that are TOO much and wash out the target. Not the case with the Mark AR since the its just the small dot in the center of the reticle that is lit. The only negative that I see with the scope, in the application that I use it for, is that I wish it went down to a 1x power instead of 1.5x. Other than that I think it is an exceptional optic for the $$$.

late to comment the mark ar scope is VX 1 Glass and the VXR is vx 2 glass ( per conversaion with the leupold rep he only seemend 80% sure). I found that leupold adds $$ to features like reticles turrets and illumination at a higher rate than other brands. the VXR patrol comes with Diamond coating increased elevation adjustment, larger field of view and more light transmission
