Has anyone shot a deer with Remington 140gr Corelokt out of a 264 Win Mag? I have an old Model 70 that won't shoot the hotter Nosler factory rounds but will shoot the Remington and Winchester rounds. I have read good and bad about Corelokt in this caliber on deer.

I borrowed a friends.264 mag years ago , it was loaded with core lokts. Shot a hill country buck. The buck was facing me. I shot him in the chest. I recovered the bullet , still in one piece , in the back hind quarter. It made me a believer.

140 grain core lokt from whatever caliber you choose will kill a whitetail pretty easy. I don't shoot my .264 on whitetail anymore it's just a big mess.

Well, I tried the Winchester Power Point on whitetail today over Remington Corelokt due to it being more accurate out of my rifle. The Power Point is amazing on Whitetail. Just be sure to aim for the lungs or neck and not the shoulder!
