I haven been looking for a couple days and with so many options out there on cheek rests figured I would ask the Gurus. I like the look of the VooDoo Tactical with mag pouch but was wondering if there are any others to consider and why. Thanks for the help everyone.
Gun is a Rem 700 AAC-SD 308 with B&C "Hook" stock, I am about to put a 34MM tube Bushnell on it and need just a little more height on the comb.
HHUUMMMM, what to write, what to write, I got nothing.

Also look at the Karsten cheek pieces. I have 3 of them, and I like them a lot. Easy to install, also.

I like the Karsten, but if you're not into drilling into the stock then the Bradley is a good choice.

I use stacks of free mouse pads under a vet-wrap. Oh, and a sand sock. It's a sock...full of sand (or airsoft pellets).

I'm a DIY-er from way back. How does that rig do at holding a little spiral notebook and rifle cartridges?

That kind of rig needs to be a uni-tasker. Anyone who can't get to the range without putting a little spiral notebook and extra rounds anywhere but in their butt-bag needs some work.

I'm looking for something of leather, that laces on. I'd like it to have loops for three to five WSM cartridges.
Kind regards, charlesb

I have one for every rifle. I take notes for every rifle. No need to be ugly about it.

Yep, I used cardboard for mine and wrapped in two layers of electrical tape, my dope setting was written on duct tape and coverd with clear boxing tape. It survived 2 days of shooting in the pouring rain. The guys with log books in those fancy stock pouches were getting their books soaked. I keep mine in a pocket. I also bought a bag of fish tank gravel, left it in the original plastic and dropped it in a tube sock, $4 rear bag.

Sorry, wasn't intending to be ugly about it. And you make a good point, keeping the information with the rifle makes sense.

Inside 500 it really doesn't matter. What I take note on is P.O.I. shift of no suppressor to suppressor. I run one suppressor on all the rifles. Of late I've learned if I have a zero with my brake on the 6.5 Creedmoor and install the suppressor I get a .3 Mil downward and .2 Mil right zero shift. While that's not much at 100 yards, it turns into a whole lot 500 and out. That's the comp gun that I also kill coyotes with, sure I could reset zero, but I would like to know consistency so that I can reset zero (suppressor or brake) and not actually have to shoot it to check afterward. The other notes I take at temp, DA, and wind prior to my cold bore shot. And my CBS has been 500 to 800 yards for the last year. I make this shot about 3 times a week, every week. So I assure you I practice quite a bit shooting almost 52 weeks a year. I work at a rifle range when not at the fire station, afterall.
