It's all WMA around the lake and bow only and you have to have a $48 WMA permit. If you want to bow hunt go by the wildlife office and talk to those guys. They will point you in the right direction.

I know all about the hunting..my sister has land just east of the lake..3 miles west peerless..

I have hunted Cooper WMA off of 71 a couple times this year in mid October. Found the road to the gate off of 2075 was totally washed out by rains. The flood plain has not been mowed or disc'd under this year so the rag weed is thick and over six feet tall. I found a couple of tree stands somebody had left in one of the areas which I am sure had been there longer than the 72 hour limit. Seen a group of pigs and heard many more but didn't see any deer. But it was pretty warm the couple of weekend early in bow season.
