Are bare hands legal means for taking ducks?

I was searching the grass for a snipe I shot when I found a gadwall with a busted wing and a shot up leg. I put her out of misery and added her to the bag.

I gave up on the snipe hunting. They were everywhere and I could have limited out, if I could have found them. The grass was too tall and thick to find anything. They only reason I found the duck is I almost stepped on her and she quacked and tried to run/fly away. If she had stayed still, I never would have known she was there.

Last weekend I retrieved Mallard that crash landed a cove over from me. The group that sky busted him didn't even know he went down, does that count? It was one of those fly away like nothing's wrong then drop dead out of the sky 400 yards away. Just another reason not to sky bust!

That's what made me think about it during my duck hunt. The ducks weren't cooperating, but the snipe were everywhere. It felt like a poor man's pheasant hunt. They would hold tight on the shore line until I was right on top of them.
