I have a lot of .243 and .308 brass laying around with the thoughts of some day reloading it. I have Rem green box, Win supreme nickel-plated, Hornady superformance, and will soon have some Nosler as well. Should I sell/junk any/all of this, or is it worth keeping?

It's all worth keeping. When you get into reloading, you will want to use a single brand of brass. For the stuff you end up not using, you can load plinking or fouling rounds to save wear and tear on your main brass.

That Nosler brass will be a keeper for sure. Then would be Hornady and Rem and Win Nickel, probably in that order.

If you chose to sell it depending on how much you have, you might get 10-20 cents/piece for it. The Nosler could go for a bit more

If you scrapped it, you would get $1.75-$2/pound from recycle place

Thanks, jdk, I'll keep it all for now. 2015 Christmas list, RELOADING EQUIPMENT!

My thoughts on selling it were to just list it on the boards here, I figure somebody would want it if it was worth anything and that way it would go to a fellow shooter.

This EXACTLY. And never say "never". Several times (even very recently) I was very glad I held on to a caliber I thought I'd never use.

Guess what? I'm using it again.

I prefer simplicity of a few calibers, but bravo to your process!

Keep it all!

In the last year I sold 800 rounds of factory 9mm, 400 primed once fired brass, die set, Dillon boxes 150 +/- bullets because I was fed up with 9mm in a Blackhawk.....then I bought a P95 and had to start over when my plans changed.

Pass the gravy.
