I do and love it. Get the Ken Onion edition....it allows you to cut a 15 per side or 30 overall...which is perfect for outdoor blades. It's also adjustable for kitchen knives etc. I pay .59 for the belts from http://micro-surface.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=272_7_228_262&products_id=91

I have one and it's awesome. I have used other sharpening tools but nothing that is as fast as the worksharp.

Just got one. I got the base model. It has the kitchen knife guide and the hunting knife/scissors/serrated blade guide also.

It takes longer to change out the belts than to sharpen the knife. And it is quick and easy to change out the belt. I looked at the Ken Onion. It does a lot of neat things, but none that I need. The original does everything I need.

I also have the Ken Onion, and love it. My wife loves that the kitchen knives are sharp too.
Thanks for the belt link.

I have the old model 2000, a garage sale find for $15. I use it to freehand sharpen lathe chisels, it rotates a little to fast, but it serves it purpose at a great price.

I recently got curious and bought a Ken Onion edition. It's OK and does almost as well as my stones do.

If you don't know how to sharpen a knife by hand, these ought to do nicely. I don't mean this in a negative manner but I have friends who just don't get it when it comes to sharpening. That's OK. I have to get my Grandkids to straighten out my PC.

But, you can also buy the motor and wheels like the guys at the Gun Shows use. They work great and I prefer that when I start on a blade that has been abused. The price is about the same.

Actually, I don't think that a high quality knife should be sharpened electronically unless it is at very low speed. Maybe not even then.

They will roll the bevel at the point unless you know what you are doing and are extremely careful. Buddy has one, I don't like them.

I bought my Father in law one and he loves it. I get him new belts every 3 years. I don't use one because I have benchmade knives and need the diamond sharpening tools.

Have one and love it. When skinning pigs knife dulls fast quick to sharpen. I just haven't figured how to use on the serrated part, so I use a chain saw file then use the Work Sharp.
I keep the wife happy with her knives.

I have had the base model for a few months. I like it and it works as advertised.
So far it has been worth the money.

I bought one about two weeks ago. I've never mastered the stones which my FIL swears by so needed to et something. Works very well. I sharpened my deer knives but didn't get a chance to use them last weekend. My wife loves how the kitchen knives cut now. I bought the base model because I didn't know how it would work and if the extra money for the ken onion edition was worth it.

I've used the original version for 2 years and it's one of the most useful items of outdoor gear I've ever owned. Works great on all my kitchen knives as well as axes, machetes and other outdoor cutlery. I've also been using the Havalon knife with changeable blades. Amazingly sharp. Just don't put much side pressure on the blades, which are very brittle. Gerber and one other knife company have similar knives with a stiffer blade holder.

There are 2 Work Sharps on the D/FW Craigs List. One in Cleburne and the other in Bedford. One is NIB. Cheaper than the store.

Northern tool has one on black friday ad. It's 64.99. I'm pretty sure it's available for online ordering.
