Just shot it over the weekend and zeroed in perfectly. Let me tell you, this was such a bargain!
I got it for $469.99 online, no taxes and I got free shipping, $15 transfer fee for a total of $484.99. Savage is giving a $75 cash back deal on this, so I'll end up paying $409. Also, if you spend $50 on Fusion 30-06 ammo, you get $25 back.
What do you guys think? Good deal or could I have gotten something better for the price?

I have one. Love it. Just make sure the scope rings are properly attached. Myself and several others have experienced loose rings from the factory. I am about to swap mine out for some Leupold's and maybe some new bases as well.
In the future I plan to swap out the flexible plastic stock for a Hogue full pillar bedded. If you're not careful and rest the gun too far out on the fore end it can bend and touch the barrel and throw off your shot. That is the weakest point of the gun in my opinion. Other than that it is a great gun. Perfect for taking a couple of deer a year. Shoots 5 shots at an inch or just under with the 150gr Fusion's I use.

Thank you guys for your replies! I haven't thought about changing anything but when I do, the stock will be the first to go followed by a better scope. Happy hunting!

I have the exact same package in 243 fo rthe wife. It's been a great rifle to use. Before the stock, I would highly suggest changing hte rings out to the following Talley rings. I took one look at the base and rings that came with it and was very suspect of it. To me, this will be a far greater return in value. http://swfa.com/Talley-Lightweight-Aluminum-1-Scopemount-P4957.aspxthere are other here who also a fan of these rings.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!
