I had several THF members take advantage of the pre-deer season sale. That lead me to make the decision to make the normal price $300 for the day. Shoot your rifle, or shoot mine. If you want to shoot very far, and your scope won't get it done, you can borrow one of mine. I also loan a bi-pod, rear bags, positional support bags, anti-cant level, pretty much anything you need to borrow, I provide free of charge. If you shoot my rifle, I charge for the rental and cover the cost of ammo that I handloaded. If you don't know what rifle/ scope combo you want to put together, spending a day on the range and learning will make you a much better informed consumer of a new rifle, and/ or scope.
The class covers the fundamentals of marksmanship needed to make precision rifle shots, be they 100 yards or 800 yards. I can probably improve upon your technique even for close-up shots. We cover vertical trajectory, and windage and how to compensate for these in your scope. We will go over MOA and Mil even if you don't currently own one of those types of scopes I will fill you in on how they work, and how to make the scope work for you. Throughout the day I will spot your shots and tell you what wind correction to make, and also tell you why I am making that wind call so that you can learn how to do it for yourself, from now on. I don't try to sell you on any particular products but I will tell you why I use what I use, and where I got it from. I will show you how to use ballistic calculators and how to get a calculated trajectory for your load/ rifle combination. If you come out with some goals in mind, tell me what they are and that is what we will focus on. I schedule the day when you want it, and you will have a one-on-one class with no other students or spectators anywhere on the 70 acre property. The day is completely dedicated to your needs. Thus far I have a 100% customer satisfaction rating and I want to keep it that way.
