Are these bottom metals standardized? Is one brand better than another? Any knowledge about the seekins?

Most are built to accept A.I. mags. Great mags, not cheap, can be had from Triad Tactical.com
I know of guys that run Seekins, PTG, Surgeon, Badger, and CDI. I have Badger, and two CDI. The CDI will cost a bit less than others and it has never given me a bit of trouble. The Badger has worked flawlessly as well.

I run a manners with mini chassis which is made by badger ordnance. I love it and will run another soon.

It helps but isn't totally necessary because its never a perfect fit and generally requires some fitting, and can be done when you have the stock glass and pillar bedded. I have used nearly all of them and I believe Surgeon bottom metal to be the best for fit and finish. That's not to say that Seekins Badgers, and the others are lesser,,,, they are all the top 1% but Surgeon is 1, Badger 1a and Seekins 1b. CDI, PTG and the other are good quality and will function well kt

I agree on the Surgeon bottom metal. I have a Badger BM and they run a little loose and have some built in slop to them. The mags rattle around a little. The Surgeon is nice and tight, plus I like the location of the mag release much better.
If you plan to run the AI mags, then you will need someone's bottom metal that will accept these mags. Like stated, it may need fitting to your stock.

Depends on if they have done it before and have the pattern. If they haven't you'll probably have to send it. Rifle I bought recently has the Black Ops Precision bottom metal...it fits tight and it good I just don't know if I like the mag release being built to the inside of the trigger guard. I'll know more as I use it more.

I use the stiller bottom metal and like it. The only thing that I worry about on bottom metal is having the magwell go below the stock line so that if you want to rest it against a tree or something you are not pushing against the mag but pushing against the bottom metal.
