Not looking for anything expensive. I just need it to shoot tree rats in my back yard in town. I'll be using calibris which aren't all that accurate anyway. In other words, I need an inexpensive rifle with a decent barrel.

You'd be way better off with this:
http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/benjamin...25805+108569689

Way more accurate than the colibris and just as powerful. Ammo much cheaper.
Everything you need to shoot accurately right out of the box.

Very good idea.

Colibris are extremely accurate in my 49 year old Single Six. A friend of mine has a Ruger Airhawk and it's louder than my Single Six and far less accurate.

A guy here on THF has a henry h001 for sale - colibri and super colibri and cci quiet works great in our henry

Note - try super colibri or cci quiet
We use the bejamin because it is legal in city limits
On the farm super colibris work much better than regular colibri
we shoot them through savage rascal .22 and henry lever
Keep inmind colibri is intended for use in 18" or shorter barrel - we had one get stuck in an old remington 512.

mine isn't for sale, but I bought one of the new marlin bold action 22s....I forget the make now...but its marlins new clip fed bolt action .22lr.

I've sighted it in with colibri.....its a tack driver. I too shoot the tree rats in town. its extremely quiet. practically hear the firing pin fall.

I have a real simple bushnell 6x scope on it. I can put one bullet on top of the other. I've made some shots at distance too. my grandmother is in town but has several lots together. a total of like 2.5ac. I've shot some starlings off the top of a highline wire at greater distance and accuracy than I would have guessed those bullets were capable of.

My Grandson has several air rifles and they are louder than the colibris. And quiet matters when I'm in town.

I'll take a look at the Marlin.
