Deer are smart and wyly this year.. Couple more after shooting light from last night.

1 inch of rain at Murray. Hunting my front stand since it's closer. A LOT of mud. LO may have to come pull me out. Tried to drive in a bit. Mistake. Nothing stirring yet. It's obvious deer and pigs are nocturnal, even with no moon.

Feeder went off at 730 still nada here at southbend.got a turkey yesterday am.

The last 7 sits on my place I have seen 3 doe. Came to corn. Blanked the other 6 sits except for yotes. No pigs either. Right now, corn is the last thing they want. Get out of the comfort zone to fill your tags IMO. When I go back next week, I am hunting the wheat on my place and trails to the bedding areas. Not sure what else to do. I hunt a 320 and saw over 40 deer last year. I have seen 9 all year, 4 at the feeder. That's it.

Thanks , we hunted 2 different places at southbend saw 2 young bucks and lots of turkey , the other ranch nada nothing zilch. Hunted Markley yesterday and saw 1 small 4 pt at 5.45pm.
Checked camera at Olney all pigs and one doe at night.

Maybe the colder weather this weekend will bring them out. Still gunna try gunna head out as soon as I get off tomorrow.

Deer are still nocturnal at my place.. But I did see an absolute giant in the neighbors wheat field this morning with 4 does. Maybe the second rut has kicked off? Here is my target deer though.. Again nocturnal

Had good activity Saturday morning. Had 5 doe right at shooting light, then a couple lone doe here and there after that then about 8:45 had a young 6pt, a spike with what had to have been at least 12" tines and a doe. I opened my blind window to get a better look at the spike and they must have winded me, took off shortly after that. Nothing that evening and this morning. Climbed out of the stand at 8:30 this morning to do some walking and hopefully jump something. About 10 minutes into my walk i jumped a doe about 75yds off. Mesquite pastures kept me from keeping up with her. Nothing after that but did find some promising deer hot spots for later. For sure thought Saturday mornings weather (windy/rain/sleet) was gonna be a bust, should've taken a doe. Ugh
