Hi, just received the new one a few days ago. I have it mounted on a Browning BAR .308 Hog Stalker but have yet to take it to the range.
Here is my question: the eye piece of the scope has a rubber cover around it that covers the entire eye and is designed, I presume, to keep out light as much as possible. It's very soft and pliable and feels like it is designed to fit snugly around your eye. However, I'm concerned about the recoil and getting a "scope kiss". So, some of you that have used this scope, can you advise just how close you get your eye into the scope? Do you give it the same room as any other scope?
Thanks.

Just shoot as normal on a .308. I have mine mounted to one and it does fine. Just resist the temptation to push on the eyepiece to hard just get comfortabl with it and you wont come out looking like a racoon Hi, just received the new one a few days ago. I wear glasses so the eyepiece doesn't work too well for me. I just took it off the scope and went without it. Works fine other than that the display lights up your face somewhat in the dark.

If you leave the eyepiece on, you'll have to get your eye up close to see into the cover. I've had mine on a .308, with no scope eye issues.
Side note: Make sure you use good Energizer or Duracell batteries. I experienced the scope shutting off wih cheaper batteries on the .308.
