Wednesday I cooked some peppers, shrooms and taters on the Himalayan salt with a side of pork chops. I love the salt block, just add pepper!

Man that looks good. I've never used a salt block. I was clearing out some pigs on a HF ranch last summer and was given full access to a very nice indoor kitchen (I too love to cook). They had a big salt block on the counter and I thought about using it but was scared to. I cooked chicken & beef fajitas, bacon wrapped sausage stuffed back strap, sausage etc on an indoor grill and just kept looking at that salt block and wanted to try cooking on it but it wasn't mine and I was nervous about screwing it up...maybe I'll try one one of these days....

They're neat. No big deal, use it like a skillet, just wipe it down afterwards and don't put soap or even wash it. The salt kills any bacteria. Since it is flat and no lip it will drip and could cause flareups if you overload it.
