If y'all remember, I posted about weird readings on my COAL. I have a hornady bullet comparator and have been measuring from the ogive but still getting as much as .05 difference. I ordered some RCBS dial calipers and got them in last night. Set it up and just about all my rounds measured short!

Boy am I glad I bought these things, I have literally tried everything to figure out why my rounds could not consistently hold 1". Turns out I just had a pair of faulty cheap calipers.

You get what you pay for!

Just loaded 100 rounds too, looks like I will be resetting all of them to the proper length. bang

Thats good. I remember that thread, and it sure seemed something goofy was going on. There it is!
