Hey all, Im relatively new to TX turkey hunting.... I have managed the last two years bagging the spring Gobbler,

Been doing some on line poking around but thought it best to just go to the professionals.

What is your recommendations for fall Turkey tactics. Calls, times, approaches... thoughts welcome

I save toms for the spring and make that a ranch rule. If any of my guys want to shoot a turkey in the fall, they take a hen. TO ME, its not really turkey hunting if I'm not camoed up, calling them in, and shotgunning them up close and personal. Not really the same turkey hunting experience if you take one with a rifle from a box blind looking over a feeder as they come in on their daily corn run. More of an incidental harvest while deer hunting. Its all good if you just want some fall turkey meat, but I wouldn't burn one of my turkey tags until the spring season, but that's my favorite kinda hunting, so my take is based on that.
