Worked for me. It's a guy shooting a giraffe. I don't have a problem with giraffe hunting, but the wife, who puts up with all my traveling and archery practice and hunting trips and taxidermy expenses, has said "No Giraffe's!" So I won't be taking one anytime soon.

I harvested this giant bull in August from Limpopo South Africa. Quite challenging unlike most believe since they weigh 1800-2200# and stand 15' tall but it took two days if stalking to get withing 125 yards and have an ethical shot. I harvested him with a 9.3x64 free handed from a 120 yard high neck shot

Sure, when you have that much neck to shoot at, go for it. Good job.
And yes I would love to do that someday, just not in the budget,...yet.

When I archery hunted Limpopo back in 2010, on the final evening, we had 2 big bulls come into the water hole about an hour before dark. They hung around until it got dark so I got to watch them for over an hour from 20 yards away. It was one of the highlights of the trip! They were majestic as could be. Amazing animals to be that close to. Only one drank at a time and the other would watch, then they would take turns. They were very skittish as well, jumping or jerking at any little sound. I got great video footage of it. It was awesome!

They are one of the most impressive animals that I've seen out in the wild!!! I've thought about it, but hesitate when I think of what it will look like on the wall. I've only seen a few pics of them mounted and didn't really like any of those. Maybe if I see one in person that I like, I'll change my mind and add it to my list.

Both of the animals pictured are incredible looking to say the least. I'm a hunter and have been for as long as I can remember so what I'll say next is based on a lifetime of loving, studying, and photographing wildlife. I don't believe I'd shoot a giraffe if given the chance. I will never criticize a fellow hunter for legally taking any trophy that they desire. I hope to make a trip to the dark continent someday to hunt plains game. If that happens and I come face to face with a big bull giraffe I may change my mind, who knows? I have no desire to hunt a lot of different animals that get pursued by other folks (Elephant, Rhino, Musk Ox, Black Bear, Ostrich, goats and sheep)but that doesn't mean those animals shouldn't be hunted. Congrats on two very fine trophy's. Later folks, Baker

I never had an interest in them but the more I look at them the more I'd love to have one someday. They're beautiful animals and would make a sensational rug!

I will never shoot one (I think my wife would shoot ME if I told her I was thinking of putting one on the wall)...but would never begrudge another hunters desire to do so.

I took a bull in 2011, it was more of a challenging hunt than I thought. They can see you from 2 stories up, and can cover a ton of country when spooked. I used a 416 rigby, and did a spine shot to anchor him
