Need to have a good smith replace the trigger on my 700 with a timney asap. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Also, would like to buy the trigger from the smith as well. Thanks

You've picked the absolute worst time of the year to get a gun worked on by a gunsmith. Unless you're able to find someone who will take a premium to put your work in front of a long line of others, it will most likely be weeks before you'll get it back.
Your best bet is to buy one and follow the instructions shown on a YouTube video. Others here will help I'm sure.

Yup, Brownells has an excellent video.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Never installed a timney my self but a jewel is pretty simple. Only hard thing is remembering which way the bolt release goes but then again why phones have cameras

Put Timneys in 3 700s this fall. Took 30 mins total for all three and to that time had never taken any of them apart. Definitely a DIY item....

I know Horizon Firearms keeps timney in stock and can do it but a little drive(Bryan) from Houston.
