Hey everyone, hope your all doing well. Was wondering if any of you have tried duck hunting at Fort hood and whether or not it worked out well for you. I'm a novice duck hunter at best haha. This is my first year, I'd love to link up and talk with some more seasoned hunters to show me the ropes. Not looking for honey holes, just for conversation. Thanks!

Used to hunt out there quite a bit. 99-04 we rary saw another hunter. 05-08 it got more and more crowded to the point that we rarely hunted where someone didn't try and set up on us. Keep in mind most of the ponds are 5 acres or less.

I've got two friends coming from holland in jan- make you a deal. If you can get us a tour of an Abrams or an apache , I'll trade you a couple hunts on our private spots around temple/Waco.

I've been at it for 35 years and can show you 90% of what you need to know in one hunt.
