I don't know about potatoes but it dropped the buck in his tracks. A 308. I was at the house when he shot. Sounded a lot different than a normal rifle shot. Later I shot it. Shooting it is very quiet on the shooters side. First time I had shot a suppressed rifle.

It's a remington 700 "mil-spec" using Chad's 168 grain A-max-Bulk Match ammo. It entered the little spot you can see on the side of the neck and exited the opposite rib cage near the diaphram, taking the top of the heart as it crossed through.
