Latest form 1 is completed (only one more still pending and then I'm done for a long while)

This is a 3.5" long micro 22 suppressor, designed to be shot wet with and optional wipe in the end cap. It's all stainless (still haven't decided if I'll bead blast it or cerakote black)

Gun and suppressor combined are the same length as a glock 17

For comparison to a commercial 22 suppressor

The tube and mount are 304 scrap from my integral 22 rifle, the end cap and baffles were scrap 303 I had. I just order from Onlinemetals.com since I usually need small quantities of several sizes.

I'm always impressed with your work. How do you feel your suppressors compare to the brand name ones in terms of sound suppression? What diameter is it?

This one is 1" diameter x 3.5" long.
My first ones were integrals that are quieter than commercial screw on cans - but to be fair have more internal volume. On my 22 suppressors I've used my SWR suppressor as a comparison and mine are just as quiet as the high performing SWR.
The recent ones are more niche cans that I wanted to build shorter than what was available. I knew I would have to give up some suppression for the decrease in length but the results have been great.

You mostly just have to pick your desired characteristics. I don't have access to cut inconel or other exotic materials so I have to deal with a little more weight to get the same results.
22s are easy. Best suppression is a simple K baffle in general but they crud up against the tube so I like to use interlocking baffles - no matter how long you go between cleaning it still comes out easy.

Another great one bud! clap

BCJ is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. Has helped me with a bunch of suppressor projects.

I would say he knows more than 99 percent of people do, especially the people selling them.

When they start becoming small enough and can blend in with the lines of a pistol, my interest increases. For instance, when I see one that's a couple of inches long and can be installed on my Ruger Mk.III so that it looks like it belongs there, I'd have to give it some serious consideration!

Integral Ruger pistols are easy to do, most are longer to look like the target models but they can be shrunk up buy cutting the barrel down before building the suppressor. I've thought about doing a very short one with aluminum tube to be light weight but it will have to wait until after the baby comes.

This one is the length or the target model because I left the barrel 5.5" long inside. I could easily shorten the whole thing 3" and still be quiet dry or shorten it 5" to the length of the standard model as a wet suppressor.

That's awesome. Wish I had the tools and skills to do that.
