Well this little creek has been a very bust spot the last few weeks. This is a little feeder creek that runs into the river. I have not been able to get to this camera the past few weeks because the water has been too high.

Today I was able to get back there with hip boots and at least pull my camera before the rains start again tomorrow and flood the place out for a few more weeks.

Pretty cool to see the deer still use the creek as a travel route even with the high water.

1st pic is normal water level. Camera was not moved between pictures.

The buck I've been chasing for 2 years just got shot across a deep logging canal.

They definitely swim.

Great pics! Glad you left the camera there to get those pics. I wished I still had some video of 5 bucks chasing a doe around a stock tank. She finally jumped in and swam off into the middle. The oldest buck went in after her and he swam around chasing her for 7 minutes in figure 8's/circles with all the other bucks running around the bank. She finally had enough and climb out on the far back and the chase on dry land continued out of sight.

Man talk about dedicated..now would it be illegal to shoot it while it's swimming?

I seen something online once about a deer herd on an island in Michigan that swam a lot and they also are dead fish a certain time of year bc of the high fat and protein content.
