How do you guys test your pistol loads for accuracy?

Other than buying a ransom rest how do you guys test pistol accuracy ? I'm a slightly better than average pistol shot but still not good enough to get accurate results. Do you guys use one of the cheaper rest? And what yardage to you test your loads at? Thank you

I don't test most of mine, but I did test the one pistol I could potentially hunt with. I just used a rifle shooting bag (the front one). For some reason, I'm not near as anal about pistols as I am about rifle accuracy testing

When working up a new load I usually work on the accuracy at 25 yds to start with and for higher powered hunting loads I verify accuracy at various ranges from 25 to 100 yards. I've never used a Ransom or other mechanical rest - just a broad shooting bag.
