Finally found me a Glock 42....took it to the gun range last Saturday. Thought I'd save a couple of $$ and shoot some reloads I bought at the local gun show.....bad mistake.....about 40% ,either, misfired or stove piped....I limped through all 100 rounds...and learned a good lesson...my G42 doesn't like cheapo loads.....fast forward to today....went back with some Critical Defense......after 75 down range....ZERO misfires/stove pipes.....VERY satisfied with my new carry..... Anyone else experience similar results with "cheap" rounds with their G42?????

No range time with the .380, but I had a bad experience with re-load's in my Gen 2 M17 a month ago. Bottom of the case split and blew the magazine out of the pistol. I'll prolly stick with factory ammo from now on. Enjoy that M42. Every review I've read has been superior.

I ran about 200 Winchester white box through one with no issues. I never have issues with this ammo in any caliber. 380, 9, 40. 45. Never a failure in any Glock, S&W, or numerous 1911's.

It depends on your reloads. I have very few issues with mine, although if they aren't done correctly they can be an extreme headache.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I don't reload 380, but can say that I have no problems whatsoever with my own reloads in my 9 or 40, or when I used to own and load for a 45. I load normal pressure, by the book, recipes with good quality ball bullets.
Also, I have never bought reloads at a gun show. I only trust my own.

I've had my 42 for about two months now. I've put 300 rounds of Freedom Munitions fmj through it so far with no issues. It is accurate for such a stubby barrel. I edc it in a DeSantis pocket holster. This is the first Glock I've owned and I am impressed. The larger Glocks just don't fit my hand.
