fuel city has cheap ice, but you might be better off just going to the ice kiosks. $1.50 for 20lbs is a good deal, but it is loose ice. The bagged ice is around a buck.

My hunting city charges $2 for 20 lbs. I now know it takes $4 to fill my chest with ice with a field dressed doe in it smile

if you have a free standing ice kiosk around you that would give you the best bang for your buck. But at Walmart or other places it is usually $2/10 lb bag, so even though double the price, it isn't terribly expensive anyway, unless you are filling a 500 gallon yeti smile

We freeze 2 liter bottles and fill the cooler before we leave. The frozen bottles will last for a couple of days, if we shoot something, we then buy bagged ice. The cooler is already cold from the bottles of ice, so our ice lasts longer.

Our other option is sometimes we haul a small chest freezer when we have access to electricity. I bought it used for a $100 and have hauled it all over the country. Loaded with frozen 2 liter bottles, it will last for a day without power. Just don't drive off with it plugged in. up

i love using twice the ice places. their ice is better quality ice than most places and it last longer in the yetis. $2 usually gets you around 20#.

I save milk jugs and freeze them in an upright freezer at the ranch. Bust them with a hatchet to ice whatever.

We just installed a 500 pound ice machine at our deer camp and dont have to lug ice down there and it makes it so nice. In all fairness though we are an ice machine distributor and had some extra inventory.
