Can anybody tell me of a good gunsmith for my remington 700. I live just south of dallas and would prefer someone close but I will drive if I have to. Also would prefer some who specializes in 700's. Please let me know. Thanks.

Garland Gilbreath in Stephenville. Not THAT close, but a great smith.

S&S Precision in Denton, Jon Trammel in Breckenridge or TDK (Aaron Little) out toward Azle are the 3 around DFW I would use.

Stick at s&s precision in Argyle is great to deal with. Also have gene Williams in Princeton that does great work

ALL great 700 smiths, the only thing you need to find out is lead times. Some of these folks will have a pretty long wait, I think...if I'm wrong let me know, I might have some 700 work done too.

Some of these guys would rather eat deer sausage and BS with whoever walks in the door, instead of getting work out. just my experience. take it for what its worth if you are in a hurry..
