Looking for ideas to protect exposed solar panel wires from UV sun damage. Some sort of robust tape wrap would seem to be easiest. Any proven thoughts, brand names, etc. to provide long term protection of wires from weather, drying, and cracking, etc.?

STXRANCHMAN suggestion or you can get PVC conduit with fittings. The flexible conduit doesn't have as good of an IP rating (water ingress protection) as the pvc conduit.

Everyone has an old leaking garden hose. Instead of throwing it in the trash, take the old hose out to the lease and cut it in proper pieces and thread your feeder wires through the segments. Tape the hose pieces up good with vinyl electrical tape fore and aft. I normally use a conduit strap to secure the hose fast to the barrel to keep the varmints from using the hose like a trapeze.
I've had coons and squirrels gnaw on the hose pieces, but evidently the rubber/plastic tastes so bad that the varmints give up long before they reach the wiring inside.
A single 50' garden hose will secure all your feeders, as well as all your buddies'. Southern engineering......

You can also put a coating of liquid electrical tape on the wires, get it at Lowes or Home Depot, stuff is convenient, water proof and easy to apply, then put inside flex conduit or garden hose. Just a thought, I beleive it is rated for below grade, wet areas.

The flexible conduit is what is use. You can clamp it tight to the feeder and the varmints do not chew through it
