Got this one this morning at 179yards. He was to busy chasing does so gave me a great shot and chance to try out my new 25-06.

Yes everyone was shocked on the split G2. My friend had been watching this buck on his land for 3 months. He was going to take it but this morning I seen him come in chasing does and he said take it. After 10 minutes of me asking are you sure. I let the Barnes TSX fly. LOL

Thanks everyone. I know to a lot of you guys it is little but I could not be happier. My archery buck on opening weekend score 91 5/8" which was my first Tx deer and this one I just got the call after the taxi got a tape on him. He is 122 3/8".

Great lookin' buck right there!

When he was young, I told Dale Jr. that hunting and racing are a lot alike. Holding that steering wheel and holding that rifle both mean you better be responsible.

Not one thing wrong with that buck my friend, not every hunter is caught up in the score "thang", Beautiful chocolate buck and I'd be proud to take him om my little place.

Thanks Western. He is being mounted even my little 91" is getting mounted that I got with my bow on my first time archery hunting. To me they are all trophies. Not being born in this state and only living here for 3yrs so far it just shocks me the size of the racks.

I hunt a friends land and he had been telling me he was going to take it for the past 3 months. We sat in one of the blinds this morning this buck came in and I said there is your buck. He said shoot it. I asked him for 10 min " Are You Sure" He kept saying yes. Well asked one last time and before he could finish saying to shoot it BOOM!

You lucky he held out that long, most fellas would have gave you seconds to chit or get off the pot! roflmao

Some places in Texas, that is a real trophy by any measure, then some other places he would walk, fine deer no matter where though.

He was laughing the whole time. The past 12yrs all of his bucks are bigger then this. It is property that has been well managed and in the family for 150yrs. So he could careless if it walked. So he is a good guy. LOL
