Had maybe the easiest hunt in the record book. Was set up in blind at 6:40, does and two fawns were on some leftover corn before shooting light. About 10 minutes after official sunrise they started looking around nervously and here came the dad. Came running in hot like he was chasing the does almost, but stopped at the first sight of corn. He was too far right for me to get a good shot from blind, and I very patiently had to wait on him for what felt like forever. He finally moved 6-8ft in my direction and was a perfect broadside shot at a close distance, lowered my scope power and put it on him. Double lunged him and he went down at the shot, then stood and clumsy ran about 40-50ish yards and fell. Awesome hunt for opening day!!!
