Had a fun sit this am. Front had em up and moving all morning. Had a young six point dogging a doe under my ladder stand -- coulda hit him with a rock. Also have a couple bucks already broken up. One mature eight snapped off a main beam.

I am hunting out south of pilot point. Where are you at, if you don't mind me asking.

I had bucks chasing on the Hood Erath line this morning one looked like he might be decent but he didn't get close enough to tell for sure he was chasing a doe all over the place and I saw a 6pt chasing a doe after that in fact when I was walking back to my truck 3 doe met me in a pipeline clearing so I just froze they walked to within 30 yards of me and then that same 6 came out behind them and chased them off showing me no attention at all. I think this cold weather get those young bucks stirred up the rut usually doesn't start going around here for a couple more weeks.
