My pants were designed to look like that. They are called vents... They looked pretty cool. It's called fashion...

I'm sure you can handle yourself just fine. Better than most, anyway. It's just hard to imagine until you do it, especially the places we go. Nothing you can do prepares you for the altitude. That's the biggest kicker. Throw in some nasty, steep country, and it's like nothing else I know. But you're young and active. Do it as soon as you can. Altitude never affected me. Some guys get sick as heck Imo most people pysch themselves up over it too much. It's not that hard. Until you kill something. Then it sucks. But the actual hunting is not terribly bad
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

It doesn't usually bother me, but the lack of oxygen sure slows you down.

That's most likely right, considering. Hopefully he recovers enough to hook back up with his cows.

Elk are tough SOBs. That's all there is to it.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Looks like muscle blood to me also. Probably just a flesh wound. Chics dig scars so he will be ok. Hope to join you guys up there some day.

They actually took new jeans out and blew holes in them, sold them for like $85 a pair!!! couldnt keep'm stocked either, just nuts.

First off, I want to thank Sneaky for organizing, leading, coordinating, guiding the less experienced, etc. for this 2nd season hunt!!! Well done sir!!!
I enjoyed getting to know Sneaky, Chief Joe, JSimms, Deep Sea and Cleric.
Someone asked what the average age was on this hunt, I added it all up and it came out to average age was 37 years old.
Thanks to all that made it a great hunting trip!!!
Whew, I just got home, logging 3520 miles round trip. I echo PMK's remarks. I know my 30+ years helped to raise that average! It was an amazing time! Thanks Jared! Thanks to all...

That's most likely right, considering. Hopefully he recovers enough to hook back up with his cows. Buddy has had clients kill bulls with antlers points stuck in their shoulder. He is still alive. I also shot an elk through the brisket once....had blood for well over two miles... Watched him two days later pushing cows.... Then he got missed in rifle season... Some Bulls just have 9 lives
