I use a chien chaile call which sounds pretty good and around the $50 range. But there is some fantastic calls out there if hunt specks regularly. Locally there is jb custom calls, other good ones are riceland calls, redbone calls, basin calls.

Have to disagree with the Sean Mann call. I have one and it takes a train load of air to run.

Well the chien caille call(I spelled it wrong before) is now $75, it used to be around $50. To their defense though, it is made of delrin and not just some cheap plastic call.
Has anyone gotten the new rnt speck call yet? I wonder how that sounds. I'm sure some of the ranger creek guys could tell us.

Buy yourself a call with Louisiana style guts, pull the guts out and shorten the tonechannel and round off the end of the reed like a goose call. Even better would be to use a thicker reed, but it will work if you do it right.

Chien Caille hands down. I have spec hunted my whole life. No better call in my opinion. Spec calls in general are tough to blow though and take practice to get the "break" right.
I'll shoot a mallard but I won't shoot a spoonie, unless its real slow...

Have to disagree with the Sean Mann call. I have one and it takes a train load of air to run. I've got one....I like it just fine...then again it's not like I spend afternoons testing various calls much less using them in the field. I've run a few others just messing around but could not even tell you the brands. So bottom line I don't have a very good base to give recommendations. But yeah it's the Sean Mann White Out Express. They have a regular White Out call that is more expensive but the express is like $49.99 or some such. But curious what you recommend Wayne.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

Kelly My god, I wish I would have stocked up in the 90's when they were $10.
