2015 Black Bear Hunting with Hounds. $3,500 plus tax, plus license($335) per hunter.
Fully guided, all meals, lodging, field care, skinning, packing, and transportation during your hunt are provided/included. This hunt will take place on a combination of large private ranches and limited access public lands. We are located in the Pecos Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest. August, September, and October hunt dates, and discounted youth hunts are available.
We've had a better than 95% success rate on this hunt over the past 10 or 12 years. Hunts are booked with a contract and 50% deposit.
*2016 Black Bear hunts, and 2015-16 Mountain Lion hunts are also available and can be booked with a 25% deposit.

Jaime Ramos of Midland, TX came out to hunt with us again last week and harvest a another BIG tom lion. These high altitude cats have some size to them.

October 3-7 (5 day combo hunt/ with Muzzleloader Elk)
and October 8-12 (Bear only)

QLM (QUALITY Lion Management)
We caught and released this lion on Tuesday. Beautiful cat, outstanding genes- just not the type of trophy we look for. No sense in pulling the trigger just to punch a tag, we're absolutely capable of catching more cats. I would prefer that my Lion and Bear hunting clients enjoy their time in the mountains, get to experience fine trail hounds doing what they love, and to keep holding out for a Mature Tom or Boar. Of course there are exceptions- stock killers, hunters with disabilities, etc.
I hope she doesn't make tracks in front of someone who thinks otherwise.(that's right- It's a female, weighs only about 80 or 85 pounds, and she may have very small kittens stashed somewhere) I'm getting off my high horse now, and going back out to hunt with the hounds- we share the same passion. -Ethan
