Moderators, I know this isn't the specified forum for this question, but I need help quick on this issue. I ask please to let it reside here for a few days so that the experts can chime in. Thanks.

My N750 doesn't focus to a sharp image at 100yrds. I followed the procedure about adjusting the eyepiece so that the icons are sharp. But at 300' I can barely make out a 1" dot. Tried using the focus adjustment knob but it just won't get it there. I don't think it is a pixelation issue, it just looks fuzzy. Anybody have experience with this issue?

Have you tweaked the brightness/intensity knob behind the focus to see if that helps? Too bright washes out target dots for me sometimes.

make sure the "sumlight" feature is off??

Fast paced gregarious society forgets the healing power of solitude. It's worked thousands of years. Casting a line/gazing into a campfire/sitting in a blind after a long week is medicine for the soul. The serenity and peacefulness of it all is majestic.

Tried to focus at night and it isn't any better. Is there a number for Pulsar technical support? I can't find anything online.

I could be wrong, but at 300' (100 yards), I am not sure just how sharp a 1" dot will be. The color of the target will play a big role. I have found that black dots on white background work best for me.

Hope this helps and good luck... up

I have to get this scope to someone to adjust the focus. Was hunting last night and at 5:45 pm a buck came in to my feeder. The feeder is 105 yards away from my elevated blind. I could not make out the horns on the buck to save my life. Called and sent an email to Sellmark and never got a call or response back. I'm going to try again tomorrow and see what happens. If I can't get help through Sellmark is there anyone else out there that can adjust this scope?

Well I have made two different calls to Sellmark on two different days and have not received a call back. What shitty service. I'm going to be persistent tomorrow to see if they will help me. The on off switch doesn't engage unless you twist it a few times. It appears the focal length between the secondary lens and the ccd is off by a couple mm.

I'm interested to hear how your service call progresses. I've been thinking of getting the new Pulsar Apex when it comes out and if their customer service is lacking I may have to rethink this. Hope you get your issue straightened out!

Who's your dealer? They'll be able to help you. Also on Pulsars website there is information on sending it in for service. There's a form.

I called and talked to the receptionist, she pointed me toward the return authorization form which I filled out and submitted. We will see if they give me crap because I bought it used. A tech did call me back and he told me to send it to them and see what they can do. I'll report back when I hear back after they have a look at it.

Can you post a video from your scope? Thanks

Well not good news. So I sent the scope in because the out of focus issue and an intermittent on off switch failure. Before I even sent the scope in, the customer service person was trying to get me to forgo sending in the scope for repair and buying a re-manufactured unit because the unit is not in warranty. Here is the first email:

Unfortunately, since you purchased this unit from an individual and not an authorized dealer-- this would be considered an out-of-warranty repair—you would need to send the repair fee of $49.99 and an inspection fee of $10 for a total of $59.99 made payable to Sellmark Corp in the form of a check or money order with the scope with the RA# 101107 written on the outside of the package that you send the scope to us in. Our Engineer Tech MAY be able to repair your unit, if he needs to order parts or incurs other expenses in trying to repair your scope, you will be informed prior to any subsequent charges for your approval. If the Eng. Tech is unable to repair your unit, the fees are non-refundable but could be applied towards the purchase of a replacement unit at a reduced fee-the reduced fee for a PL76312 is $1200.00 minus the $59.99 repair fee. If you are not interested in purchasing another unit we would simply return your scope to you as is. If you have any technical questions re. this arrangement, you can contact out Eng. Tech, xxxx, at xxxxxx@sellmark.net. If you send the unit to us for the repair—send it to the address below my name.

I'm thinking to myself, how hard is it to swap out a switch and adjust the focal length of the primary lens? So I get this email today from SellMark:

Mr. xxxxx,

Unfortunately, the Eng. Tech tells me he cannot repair your PL76312. If you would like to purchase a new one, with a new 3 year warranty, please send a check or money order in the amount of $1140.01—that is the dealer discount minus your repair fee of $59.99. You can make the check or money order made payable to Sellmark Corp and mail it to my attention. Or you can use our paypal acct at jsellers@sellmark.net . Sorry we could not make the repair. Let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thank you,

I'm not sure what to think about it? Can it be that these things can't be worked on? Considering a switch is about the easiest thing on the scope to swap out? I'm wondering if they even had a repair tech look at the scope at all?

Just spoke to the technician and he adjusted some of the controls and was able to get a good picture. Appears part of my issue was using AA batteries which can cause voltage fluctuations. What I learned is you can not transfer warranties, so if you buy one of these scopes used, ask for the original receipt. They can not repair the scope because they are assembled in a nitrogen only environment. If you do have a warranty issue the scope is swapped and the defective unit is sent back to the factory for rework.

Anyway looks like my issue was operator error and not the scope.
