Boy you just like to stir

With my educated guesses being so accurate I would have to guess he had a sex change.

With my proven track record and expertise I can say with 100 percent certainty that is him/her/it. Good find!

Not me, that's why I erased his face. I didn't figure he wanted his face all over the interwebs. He killed it Saturday and I wasn't there. Still trying to get more information on what it ended up scoring and aging. I do know it weighed 198 lbs on the hoof.

The pics from 2013 that buck is older looking than 3.5 to me and definitely older looking than 4 this year IMO. If they are not the same deer then you have very similar genetics. You would know your deer better than any of us also.

The last picture we had of that deer was in 2013 and he had declined quite a bit. The biologist thinks he died of old age and I don't doubt it.

It is VERY rare that a deer dies of "old age". Natural causes yes.

I greatly appreciate you correcting me. I still say he died of old age.

Wow, that's a monster East Texas buck - congrats to the anonymous hunter that took him!

2nd buck pic(2013 buck) is a different buck. He is older than the deer just killed would have been and throat patch is different. Dead deer and 2014 game cam pics show brown patch through middle of white throat patch. 2013 deer shows very distinct and solid throat patch. I haven't read every bit of this thread and you may have figured all that out. Having said all that, great books, no matter how many different ones we're looking at. Glad somebody got him, wish it would have been you.

Well, that big deer did not die of old age and it was indeed 2 different deer. Here's the other one that met his maker this weekend.
