My uncle ran them on his his Jeep that he bought new in 1993, he put 86,xxx on the first set then 80,xxx on the second set. The spare on the Jeep is the original 1993 tire, which is the original tread design. When I get home on Thursday I'll post a pic of the spare

Here's the first ro with mileage. Didn't notice the glare at first but it says replace wheels and tires. You will also notice my tech number 12351 is the same.

I have 32k on the set that came from the factory on my Tacoma and they have ben good. Back in the day when Ford put BFG ATs on their 4x4s I could not get them off fast enough. They are not a mud tire and that is what I needed. They are good in the rocks and cactus. When this set wears out I will go back to Duratracs. I had Duratracs on my previous truck for 30k and really liked them.

I have run them on an 87 GMC short bed since the early '90s and usually get around 65k on a set. The truck has almost 400K miles on it and still going strong. They are good tires. The only problem has been a couple of tread separations.

Duratracs are better in the mud, much quieter, but the sidewall of the BFG is much better.

I've herd they had a bad batch, my favorite tire is Procomp Xtreme All terrain, I've had two sets on my older F-250 and I get minimum of 50,000 out of a set. As soon as I get a little wear on factory tires on my 2012 there will be a new set on it too.

I have had good luck with BFG's and Toyo but the best hands down is Michelin. Problem is they suck in mud.

I had good luck with AT/KO's for several sets (still worn out at 40-50k and suck in the mud) then I had three out of a set separate about half way through the tread life. I have run several different brands/styles since. This on 3/4 and 1 ton 4x4 diesels. I've gotten the most miles out of Michelin but they are not good for much but highway. I am now running MT/R's on my ranch truck and michelins on my highway truck. I cannot find a tire that will do it all... and last more than 20-30K. The ranch truck/highway truck has been my only solution. The MT/R's just hit 6000 miles and the fronts had lost 3/32's rears lost 4/32's at rotation. These might get 30k miles but they have already gotten me out of some mud holes, had no flats in west Texas, they drive good and are quiet for a mud tire. The michelin factory lt whatevers on my 12 F350 have 56k with 6k rotations and they have another 6-12k left. Lots of towing on both sets of tires, pretty heavy on the Michelins. Cooper will be my next highway tire, at $500 less than Michelin and made in Texas I have to try them.

If I was going to buy a MT tire it would definitely be the Goodyear MTRs. I ordered a set of Duratracs for my 2009 Tacoma through Discount but the installers grabbed a set of MTRs. The next day they noticed the MTRs were missing and they still had the Duratracs. I was headed to the lease to fill feeders so they said to just keep them or come back when I had time. I ran them for 3 weeks. I beat the carp out them on the lease because I had no use for MTRs on all 4 on my Prerunner. Other than the cactus thorns the tires looked new when I took them back. They are a little noisy on the road. Since I now have a 4x4 I am thinking about the MTRs when the BFGs I have wear out.

I had some michelins at that came new on my f350 and they were balded in 30000 miles, i have 2 friends with the same truck and theirs were the same. They make a good suv tire, ive switched to the new cooper discoverer AT and love them 15k miles and they look new and their an aggresive AT and $500 cheaper than the BFG's.

I've run a few sets of BFGs 60-70K miles on a diesel F250 and a diesel Excursion. Great tires. I've stopped running them recently as my last 2 trucks have 20" rims and 20" BFGs are stupid in price.

The sidewalls on them are amazing as well.

I have never been able to get the mileage out them due to uneven wear.

These tires have to be rotated and balanced religiously compared to other tires IMO to get the most ouf ot them. I rotate and or balance them every 6,000 miles.

Most of the times when I see BFG's that need replaced it is because of a vehicle with an alignment issue or they don't keep them rotated and balanced. Once they get a chop or wear pattern to them it is pretty much over.

Well make that 8....don't know if the last was tread separation or not. Developed a "flat "spot on one tire.

That is great...in the past The most I ever got was around 30,000 miles. For some reason the last 8 tires have been defective. Only occasionally pull load of around 10,000 miles. They get rotated and balanced every oil change, 5000 miles. The only good thing is every time except one I had the warranty they sell for around. $23.00

Got the new ko2 on my truck and already 10k on them. No signs of uneven wear or rapid wear. Still look new and a heck of a lot better off-road.
