It's really just a sporterized Zoave version that navy arms made.I can't remember ever seeing one in anything other then 58. i think they stop making them around 1985-1990.

I had thoughts of getting me one of those newfangled inline guns. But upon seeing the cost of those sabots.Heck i can shoot my old 45-70 cheaper then what them sabots cost.

Nothing wrong with the inlines, but they aren't for me. Today I brought home a Euroarms (1977) 1853 Enfield 3-band rifle-musket. It is a beautiful hunk of steel and walnut. The British were trained to hit man-sized targets at 500 yards with these rifles.

It came with a sling, cleaning rod and bayonet. The bayonet is a particularly wicked piece of equipment.

actually had wrong powder measure whin loaded. used the one for .44 pistal. one shot, didn't have ta reload. hog only went bout 30yrds or so. tis how i found it in pic.

Starting the 10th I will be. It is the only season left for me.

absent minded here. got days mixed up for doe day's. its back ta buck only. still got rest of month left & hogs 24-7-365. i'd never make it back in the day. u got side lock or in-line? best wishes

seen ya got deer this year. haven't gotten my muzzy out yet for hunt. pretty much know how it shoots from years past. the GOEX powder tis older than dirt. it sat for years, yagh, trying ta keeping up with high-tech tis guilty been trying ta get hog with laser on video. high-tech hasn't helped me i messed up on last hunt with muzzy, forgot ta switch powder measure from pistal ta rifle. shot couple times see if could still hit, cleaned it, then took out on hog hunt. twas about ta give up, figured one last try, got lucky it ran bout 40 yrds little more. posted pic on here while back. some with better high-tech know how ta repost it. best wishes keep your head held high & your powder dry Merry Christmas
