My question is......why the hell does he live in the woods if he does not want deer and / or wildlife in his yard? Sounds like my BIL. He's a farmer/rancher and thinks that deer are just pests that need to be killed.

Never having seen a drone they did not know what it was. They probably thought it was a bird of some type.
