Shot a spike this morning, but nothing yesterday morning. The wind was really howling yesterday.

I'm a bit west of Capps Corner; watched a bunch of does and younger bucks Saturday. Lots of little under-AR bucks. I almost gave it up when the storm hit, because I was sitting in the blind, remembering that I'd left the truck's windows down back in camp. This morning I watched a doe and her two 6-month fawns for half an hour. Then this 7-pointer joined them. Glad I remembered to set the alarm clock back-
Me and ol' RUGER, 74 years and still shooting.

Nice buck there Dennis!!! Those deer up there are so big it's almost a must to have a hanger like that. I shot a doe last night that dressed out at 103#.

Mud is right. Our neighbor got stuck Sunday since he pulled off the road to park. One of their other guys got stuck getting him out. I went to help and got stuck. One of our guys got me out since he could pull from the dry road but the other guys had to use a dozer.
Couple of our feeders might go dry if we can't get corn to them so might be hand corning those areas. Of course getting a deer out will be hard to. Hopefully it dries up.
Also killed a rattler Sat night on road to camp.
One of our guys stopped by the brewery in Nocona. Got us a 6er of the IPA and was really good.

That bucks genes must be rampant in that area - we have buck we call ghost that has similar horns. He’s an old fella. Hoping someone gets him this year - he’s been on my camera during the daylight the past few weeks. Congrats on the buck.

Looks like you found a decent place to hunt.

Yeah mud is bad - I got stuck 2 yrs ago and had to have my wife pull me out with her Jeep. I had turn in my man card after that. Next day traded in 2wd F150 for 4x4. Then this yr picked up a Utv because it’s been so wet.

Saw nothing hunting. Just before dark, I drove down Picket Run road. Deer were everywhere. Saw 3 does with a big 10 point watching them next to the road. I stopped and looked at him . He was a lot more interested in the does than he was me. Saw another big 8 just before dark. Nocturnal already.
I have 6 Feeders with cameras.. Virtually no day time action. Acorns are still falling here and they aren’t rotting quick enough.
So far, I have heard 6 shots.

I'm just North of Nocona Hills. Hoping they'll be moving this weekend with cold and rut. This will be my opening weekend as I missed last weekend. Bow season was a bust - but I only hunted 2 weekends.

I'm just south of Nocona off of Rock School Springs. Saw 3 does and some turkeys opening weekend. Hoping for better luck this weekend.

Are they hitting feeders for any of you?

According to my buddy, no does are coming to feeders because they're getting harrassed by bucks. He killed an old 3pt we've never seen and saw another 8pt that we don't have on any cameras.
Going to be a great weekend to sit where you can see lots of space. I'm jammed up until Sunday but will be out all day in hopes of putting a big one down.

I was in Jefferson Co, Oklahoma yest.
Saw a dandy what would be 10 that had one side broke off and he was limping bad
This was basically on the red river.
At my other spots in Wise Co, I’ve not yet seen a full on rut yet but I am thinking it’s going to be anyday

Son is catching buck fever at 12:30 today so will need to pick him up early so no one catches it. Will be in stand by 3:30. Might need to buy more propane. Low forcasted 28 now! Last week all our feeders were picked clean each hunt. I never had a doe eat at ones I sat at, just bucks. Does stared and walked off. Or were being chased. Looking at last years text Nov 20 was a very good rut hunt.

Was windy this AM! Daughter was really wanting to hunt so we left at 4am... Road on way to lease was closed... Found a detour and hit a spike on said detour (I really like my ranch hand bumpers!!!)..... Made for an eventful morning... Then saw 2 spikes at feeder... Maybe Sunday... Had to run home to work . TGT
I have a little bitty one. Think that will do?
