well i had some money saved up for a suppressor but decided to spend it on a new blind, (found money for the suppressor as well) had a buddy jump on the band wagon so we built two. it is an 8x4 half hex bow and rifle combo, that puts over all dimension at 8x6 to the from wall of the hex. 1 inch square tubing frame with 3/8 sheeting, 1 inch thick insulation and galvanized metal for framing corners, windows and rain guards. as soon as i get the inside finished i will be installing the deer view windows and door i got from tyler. I am not looking forward to putting these guys in the air cause they are much heavier than i expected them to be. one will have a six foot base and the other will only be 2 feet.

Blinds turned out great. Get those windows mounted.

I hope your planning on putting tin or vinyl on that board your using for the walls or all that beautiful work you did is going to fall apart and look like sh!t.

Great design by the way. up

Are you hanging the sheeting by just screwing into the square tubing?

No I didn't draw up any plans, just kinda made them on the fly, the windows are installed and it's been sitting out for around three months, I will try to get to that end if the property in the morning and get pictures

Where did you get (or, how did you make) the metal flashing for those 60 degree hex corners in front? I'm currently building a 6' X 5'2" hexagon blind and I've not yet decided how I'm going to cover those vertical seams.

So she says "sure Honey, I agree, you DO need a new deer rifle..." And that, boys, is how I ended up with new living room furniture!

Great job on the blind. I might just take up a class on welding at the local colleges here in San Antonio.
