I have been in the market for a new semi-auto shotgun for a while now.
After 2 years I Finally got a new one! The wife and kids bought me one for Father's day/birthday.

I got a Brand new Stoeger M3000. http://www.stoegerindustries.com/m3000-shotgun

I had done a lot of research in the last 9 months and this one fit my price range and requirements. I got the matte black 26" model and it has the 3" chamber.

It has the ID (Inertia Driven) system that is used in the more Expensive, Higher end, Benelli guns. This also means there is no Gas pushing a piston and means a lot less fouling from the gas and burnt powder. This means and cleaner running gun, less cleaning, and more reliability!

Once I got her home I tore her down and cleaned her as per the instructions I had found on the web per many people's recommendations. I was really impressed by how few parts there are to this system! The bolt has only 3 parts to it (5 if you count the springs). This keeps it very simple and therefor easy to clean. I oiled her back up and reassembled her.

On father's day I got to break her in as per the instructions/manual.
It said to break her in with 3-4 boxes of some heavy loads to work the action. I had some high Brass 2.75" 3.25oz 3.25DRAM of powder heavy Duck/Geese loads so I burned them out at my parents house. Needless to say, my shoulder is sore and bruised from those 100 rounds. Those rounds Kick! I only ever hunt Dove and exclusively shoot 1.125oz 3Dram 2.75" Dove loads.

The gun is light and has a good fit and feel to it. It comes with 3 chokes (IC, M, XX-full), a choke wrench, and 3 Shims to make gun fit you perfectly. OOB it fit me perfectly.

When i got home I Decided to clean the gun up and to my pleasure it was still very clean the Dirties part was the choke! I was very impressed at how clean it was after 4 boxes of the heavy loads. With my old gun I would have powder and carbon everywhere and after a box i would have to hit it with light oil. This one looked like she could go another 500 rounds and still not be as dirty as my old Semi. I broke her all down and cleaned her all up and put the light coat of oil on here again.

All in All I was very impressed with the gun and can't wait to put it to a real world application of Dove hunting.
Look out Dove! I am ready Come Sept 1st!

I love my M3000. I searched for a good economic semiauto as well. I got the MAX4 camo 26" version off gun broker for $500 out the door brand new. I used it for duck hunting this year and it shot flawlessly. I've also shot light target loads just messing around and it eats everything. Stoeger is made by Benelli and the M3000/M3500 are basically super black eagles on the inside. Believe most of the parts are interchangeable as well. My buddy was searching around for a semi too. He decided on the TriStar Chinese made gas gun for the same price. I told him he should have gotten the Stoeger but he didn't want to listen. He got his gun in and it will not cycle with light loads at all. It takes 3" duck or 2.75" turkey loads to cycle the thing.

Yeah I had one of these guns new and cleaned it then put 2 boxes of 3" steel through it and cleaned it again.

I put 3 cases of dove loads through it and sold it to a friend that was getting into skeet shooting and I got a call from him saying it was light striking the primers and not firing and malfunctioning .....BLAH BLAH BLAH

Come to find out he had put over 1,000rnds through it and not cleaned it and all we had to do was take it down and clean it good.

He continued to shoot a lot of skeet and put a confirmed 5,000+ more rounds through it with cleaning every 500rnds and never had a single issue with it and at 6,000 confirmed rounds with no issues he upgraded to a super black eagle 2 and kept the stoeger as a spare/loaner gun and the last time I heard from him the stoeger had a total of 7,000+ rounds with no issues.

They are good solid guns at a good price and as it turns out Benelli heard that a company in Turkey (stoeger) was using their action and sent an engineer and lawyer to check it out and were so impressed by how these knockoffs were being made they bought stoeger and continued to manufacture them under the brand.
